Town GovernmentSaguache is a statutory town of about 500 and is governed by a Mayor and Town Board. The committees that are currently active are the Planning Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, Saguache Recreation Board and Tree Board. The Town maintains Otto Mears Park and the adjoining Community Building, which are available for individuals or groups. Inquire at the Town Hall for information on volunteer opportunities or facility use.
An election will be held in April 2012. Voters will be electing a Mayor and three Trustees. Please consider running for one of the positions. You are eligible to run if, on election day, you are at least eighteen, a citizen of the United States, registered to vote, and have resided in the Town of Saguache for at least the prior twelve months. Check the election page for more information. The 2012 Budget for the Town of Saguache may be viewed at the Town Hall. PLEASE NOTE that the Town Board Meeting in February will be held on February 21, 2012 due to Presidents' Day, which is celebrated on February 20. Town Events
