Saguache Chamber News

On November 12^th the Board of Directors met at the 4^th Street Diner & Bakery. The Board appointed Ms. Caroline Wolfgramm Irwin to the position of Member-at-Large.  Caroline’s initial responsibility will be to head up the development of a “Ribbon Cutting” program for Chamber member businesses. Caroline brings many years of public service experience to the Chamber. She is well known for implementing many new programs and events for the Saguache community.

Other business the Board addressed included the decision to offer a $50 gift certificate as a contribution to the Christmas event and drawing being planned by Joe & Cindy Lilly in Saguache on Saturday, November 27^th.

During the last general membership meeting on October 12^th, the Chamber membership voted unanimously to support the 2011 Pow Wow event being promoted by the Town of Saguache Recreation Board. Chamber members felt the visibility and the business opportunity provided by this event will benefit the entire community.

The next General Membership Meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday December 14^th at the U.S. Forest Service Office Conference Room.  This is an open meeting and all are welcome.
